What To Do In Annapolis

Overall vibe of Annapolis, Maryland:

Annapolis is an ADORABLE, quaint town along the Severn River, which connects to the Chesapeake Bay. It’s the perfect day trip adventure from DC or other nearby areas. I love to start the day with coffee, find a cute spot for lunch and then walk around the main street and by the water.

Where to stay in Annapolis

134 Prince: A super cute, luxury boutique hotel (like a BnB with breakfast included) near downtown.

Annapolis Waterfront Hotel: The go-to waterfront hotel in the heart of Annapolis.

The Gradate Annapolis: One of the most highly rated hotels in the area.

Best restaurants in Annapolis

Fox’s Den (Instagram: @foxsdengastropub): amazing, vibey pizza place on Main Street. The drinks are great too! Only open for dinner.

Bread & Butter (Instagram: @breadandbutterkitchen): casual, healthy breakfast, sandwich and salad spot. The chipotle chicken panini is SO good. We love to sit at the picnic tables on the water.

Boat Yard Bar & Grill (Instagram: @boatyardbarandgrill): one of the most popular locals spots for lunch. Great for seafood, American and more!

Preserve (Instagram: @preserveeats): trendy, new American restaurant on Main Street.

Carrol’s Creek Cafe (Instagram: @carrolscreekcafe): seafood restaurant on the water. The food is very good but not absolutely amazing. But the patio on the water is what makes this restaurant.

Chop Tank (Instagram: @thechoptankannapolis): fish and crab house with an amazing rooftop on the water (the perfect happy hour spot).

Best coffee shops

Ceremony Coffee (Instagram: @ceremonycoffee): My FAV coffee shop of all time. It’s actually the coffee we make at home every morning in our pour over. But it’s such a treat when we get to go in person! They have locations in Baltimore, Bethesda and Annapolis (we like to go to The Roastery one in Annapolis).

Bakers & Co (Instagram: @bakersandco.annapolis): Great spot for grab and go coffee and baked goodies. Or sit in the cute outdoor garden.

Best things to do in Annapolis

Get Ice Cream: There’s a few ice cream shops by Main street but we like Kilwins (yes, it’s a chain but it’s good).

Walk around/shop on Main Street: I’ll be honest, the shops aren’t great but it’s still fun to walk around because it’s so cute.

Walk across the bridge to Eastport: Eastport is a mostly residential neighborhood but the walk over the bridge is beautiful and it’s a cute neighborhood to walk around, get lunch or grab a beer at Forward Brewing.

Bridge Between Downtown & Eastport

Things to do in Eastport:

  • Get Coffee At Bakers & Co

  • Walk out on the dock at the Maritime Museum: there’s a dock just behind the museum that overlooks the Chesapeake Bay. It’s a beautiful and peaceful lookout spot.

  • Shop At Details & Design (@shoppe.details.and.design): super cute home design and gift shop.

  • Get Lunch at Boat Yard or Carrol’s Creek Cafe

  • Grab A Beer At Forward Brewing (@forwardbrewing): awesome, trendy brewery with great beers and awesome patio.

Quiet Waters Park: nice park to go for a walk along the water.

Drive over the Bay Bridge: it’s a beautiful drive but if you’re scared of heights, you may want to skip it ;) It’s SUPER high up.

Terrapin Nature Park: beautiful nature park across the bridge with walking trails and mini beach lookout spots
